The Postgraduate Diploma in Diabetes (PGDD) is a part-time, distance learning course, based on the International Diabetes Federation curriculum. It consists of 2
days of introductory lectures in various locations across the globe, followed by an online modular programme.
The principle aim of the PGDD is to provide high-quality diabetes education for doctors with a specialist interest in diabetes. This 2-year course is delivered online by internationally renowned healthcare professionals who have extensive knowledge of diabetes, diabetic complications and related topics. Throughout the course, diabetes and students are encouraged to actively participate in the online activities and to demonstrate their critical thinking and clinical understanding.
The PGDD was established in 2007 and provides a recognised university based qualification, using up-to-date teaching and assessment methods and gives access to diabetes education for healthcare professionals all over the world.
