The Bull Public House
Vince and Ian took over the Fakenham Bull as joint patrons in early 2004. They undertook a complete restoration of the premises including some expansion of the bedrooms upstairs.
Not being tied to a brewery means that the team can bring in interesting guest beers. Some of the ales and beers are from local breweries with awards and national recognition. Being a free house also means that the Inn can make policy decisions to suit the Town of Fakenham and the people who live there, rather than for the brewery bottom line.
They have decorated the interior with a modern contemporary but sympathetic, furnishings and style. There are plenty of lounging sofas downstairs, as well as seating at the bar and tables for eating and drinking.
Our background
Bar10der was originally setup in 2001 to provide bar facilities in the new prince of Wales Grandstand at the Fakenham racecourse. Vince and Ian had been long standing friends with a mutual interest in rugby, both having been involved in in Fakenham rugby club as players and committee members, with Vince also being chairman.
Alongside race meetings they also organised social functions in the Stand including New Years Eve parties and Harley Davidson Rallies. they also organise outside bars for both large and small events all over norfolk.
