The former Cumbernauld Primary School has stood in it's present location in Cumbernauld Village since the 19th Century, however it has now lain derelict and unused for the best part of a decade and its present condition is verging on unsafe. This building holds fond memories for generations of Cumbernauld people and shouldn't have been allowed to get into the state it is in.
Cumbernauld House Trust was formed in 2010 in order to try to rescue the then derelict Cumbernauld House and save this vital piece of our town's history for future generations. Unfortunately this vision quickly slipped out of our hands but, with this in mind, the Trust has now teamed up with Cumbernauld Village Action for the Community (CVAC) to work to save the former Cumbernauld Primary School and to convert it into a sustainable, community facility for the people of Cumbernauld Village and Cumbernauld as a whole.
Originally a sub-group of Cumbernauld Community Forum, Cumbernauld Environmental Society branched out on its own in early 2011, continuing to support environmental projects and iniatives throughout Cumbernauld.

A bit about the club;
You chose your aircraft, but it must be a prop aircraft (General Aviation), at biggest a DC3 as the runway at Cumbernauld [EGPG] is short and cant handle anything bigger, a DC3 would struggle to take off but I'm sure you can manage.
It's like a real flying club but It will be online as we have online sessions where we do training and prop hops and we can do mini airshows aswell.
